This is primarily a notice for all Workaid volunteers to give an update about the sudden onset of snow with freezing, festive weather we’ve experienced this weekend.
Snow is still falling as of mid afternoon Sunday 10th, with the forecast of temperatures to stay at freezing.
Rob will go to Workaid first thing on Monday morning, 11th December and will make a decision about whether we stay closed for the day.
8.15am Monday, 11th December: The decision has been made to close Workaid today. While roads may be clear, pavements are not and our car park is dangerous for walking and driving. Please stay home today.
8.00am Tuesday, 12th December: Workaid will be closed today. Although roads and pavements are fine, the car park is too slippery and dangerous. Please stay home today! We will advise about tomorrow as soon as possible, so do check back.
8.00am Wednesday, 13th December: Workaid will be open today, but be careful! Pavements are still lethal and icy, so if you’re walking, think twice! Some of the Workaid car park is clear and safe, but do be vigilant and drive slowly.
Thursday, 14th December: Back to normal!
Stay safe and stay warm! If in doubt, please be sensible and don’t risk a journey into Workaid.
Please note that even if there’s someone in the building, phones and voicemail may not be manned. There may also be no one to open the front door.
