Adrian's Stay at Kira Farm

Adrian, our CEO, is currently in Uganda visiting many of the projects that we have donated to and seeing them in action for himself.

A highlight of the trip so far was the 4 days he spent with Amigos Worldwide on Kira Farm. Amigo’s is an organisation similar to our own with whom we have worked over the last few years. They support young people to work their way out of poverty by providing the skills they need to flourish. Currently, our collaboration specifically relates to their Kira Farm Development Centre.

Kira Farm Development Project

This project trains 50 students with practical vocational skills and personal development each year. As well as this it acts as a place of healing and growth for young people, many of whom have already overcome immense hardships.

Adrian’s stay was perfectly timed with the arrival of their latest consignment of tools and the anticipation of the unboxing. It was also a valuable opportunity to start developing exciting proposals for how we will work closely together going forward.

I came away feeling very positive about the potential for maximising our collective impact.
