Workaid is again taking part in the ‘Big Give’, aiming to raise £13,000 to cover the costs of the refurbishment and shipment (container, taxes and everything else) of enough tools to ensure 1,000 current or ex-offenders in Zambia can gain certified vocational training skills. This will reduce the chance of them re-offending, and, as with so much else Workaid does, the impact will spread far beyond the initial beneficiaries. We will supply projects identified by our partner in Lusaka, Emmanuel Zulu, and will be provided with updates on their progress as we go.
We have already raised £3,250 in pledges from generous supporters, as well as additional donations which have since been doubled during the Big Give period, which started on Monday the 28th of November 2017, but we need your help to reach our target amount of £13,000 by 12pm (noon) on Tuesday, 5th of December!
Any donations made to Workaid’s Big Give page during the next few days will be doubled by our individual Big Give Champion, the Coles-Medlock Foundation. Please help us with this amazing challenge, every donation really does count, no matter how big or small and the amount of your donation will be doubled eg £10 = £20, £50 = £100 and donations may be Gift Aided too.
To donate, please visit Big Give, for full details of this worthwhile project.
Payments may be made by credit card online; the process is quick, secure and painless and your support will make a real difference!
ONE donation, that gets DOUBLED to make TWICE the impact!
The target has been met! Thank you for all your magnificent help. We are delighted to be able to support Zambia Prisoner Rehabilitation and look forward to being able to give reports on the progress.
