The first craft workshop took place in the fabulous, newly refurbished Hive with 13 participants making beautiful crochet butterflies, led by Rosa Maria Welsh. The group included three thirteen year olds, who also completed one of the colourful butterflies to take home. Believe it or not, these butterflies started as a simple flower with 8 petals, but if you want to know more, you’ll have to join the next crochet workshop!

The Hive is a wonderful room downstairs at Workaid.  It’s always a Hive of Activity and now has a full selection of cupboards to house materials for classes, as well as better tea and coffee making facilities, a set of matching tables (!), super non-slip flooring and the lighting is very good for all activities.

For further information make sure you check out the Resources page for Crafts in the Hive and Ongoing Courses, as well as the Sign Up to our Classes page.

Crafts & Coffee sessions take place in The Hive at Workaid in Chesham on the first Wednesday of each month 10am – 12noon. Everyone is most welcome to join us for a cuppa and a chat while working on their current projects.
