Forthcoming Events for Workaid – Don’t Miss Them!

Workaid’s season of events is well underway! In June we’re looking forward to annual Workaid’s Golf Day on Friday, 18th June at Berkhamsted Golf Club. It’s not too late to book a team in for this popular event.

There’ll be a promotional stall at St Mary’s Church, Amersham on Saturday, 17th June, following on the success of recent displays in Chesham Library and Café Africa in Amersham. We hope to drum up support and find more volunteers to join us.

Workaid’s stall at the ever popular Chenies Plant Sale will take place on Sunday, 16th July, where we take pride of place by the gazebo in the very centre of the wonderful gardens selling some unusual implements. Do come along to see the rest of the stalls and plants in the beautiful surroundings of Chenies Manor.

The next Forecourt Sale will take place at Workaid on Saturday, 5th August, where we look forward to turning out an ever increasing array of interesting items that you didn’t know you needed! From garden equipment to boxes, fabric and tools, it’s one of those events not to be missed!

The last couple of weeks has been busy with a stand at Burnham Donkey Derby. This was a new venue for us and proved very successful and a joy to be part of such a large event, run by the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches.

Another new event was at Lindengate’s Spring Fair last month, where we were able to raise funds through the sale of gardening tools and crafts made by the ladies from the Hive at Workaid, who put in such a lot of effort in making items. Another successful, recent stall was at the Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.

As always, there’s a lot going on at Workaid with the aim of raising enough money to help ship more tools and equipment to enable people to learn a skill and have a better life.

We look forward to seeing you at some of these events.
