We are very pleased to welcome Jane Bucknall back to the team and to the Board of Trustees. Jane joined Workaid as a publicity volunteer three years ago, and for two years acted as our Publicity Officer.

With two grown-up children and a professional background in marketing and publicity, Jane found that she had time on her hands and was looking for a means of putting her experience to some use. She said,

“In many ways Workaid has rescued me from my ’empty nest syndrome’. I would urge other people who find themselves entering a new life stage to look around and see if their skills and experience can be of help to others.”

During her time at Workaid Jane has accompanied Sylvia Parrott to Uganda to look at some projects.

“The Uganda trip reminded me of the tremendous impact that Workaid and its volunteers can achieve. It is a privilege to be able to continue my involvement.”
