Double your money and help people in Zambia – for every £1 you donate, Workaid will receive £2!

We are of course all focused on our immediate neighbours as we go through another lockdown, but Covid-19 is also making life tougher for people in Africa who were already battling extreme poverty.

Workaid is again participating in the Big Give campaign. Last year we raised money to help equip Youth Resource Centres in Zambia. This year we are raising money to send starter kits to their graduates so they can set up in business when they finish their training.

If we can send 1,200 kits this will enable around 3,500 graduates to set up businesses in small teams and help them to help themselves out of poverty.

To do this we need to raise a total of £5,000 during the week starting at midday on Tuesday 1st December. Every £1 we raise during that period will be matched thanks in large part to the generosity of the Coles-Medlock Foundation – for every £1 you donate, Workaid will receive £2!

For donations to be matched they have to be made online and they have to be made in the specified period.
