Workaid at 71 Townsend Road, Chesham, HP5 2AA is looking for more volunteers!

Our team of committed volunteers has reached over 200 strong, a community of friendly faces from all walks of life, as well as all ages. Volunteering for Workaid provides an opportunity to meet new people, learn a variety of skills and make a real difference, more importantly support and bring awareness to an incredible charity in its aim to provide sustainable change.

Donations to Workaid come both locally and nationally to our Chesham workshop which then filter through a number of departments that are always looking for another pair of hands to pitch in.  Workaid welcomes people with an array of skills and at varying levels, so if you’re a sewing machine wizz, a garden tool connoisseur or know your way around a typewriter, on the other hand, if you don’t have any particular specialist skills, there is a place for everyone as long as you are excited to learn. Whether you’re able to commit to a couple of hours or would like a few days a week, your time will always be hugely appreciated.

It’s not all hard work though, at our social daily routine of tea and biscuits we have a break and it gives our team of volunteers the chance to get to know one another.  This can also be a time where we listen to guest speakers from wonderful partner organisations such as Home Leone, Krizevac and Toolshed to hear about their incredible achievements and the impact your efforts can make.

All we ask is that you bring a readiness to get involved!

Currently we are in urgent need of volunteers in the following areas:

  • Ebay despatch Co-coordinator
  • Ebay Assistant
  • Shop Assistant
  • Servicing Electrical or Petrol Items

Please find more information on these roles on our website! Come and be part of a growing community devoted to making a difference.
