Congratulations to Meddy!

Kisirisa Muhammed (‘Meddy’ to his friends) founded and runs the inspirational AFFCAD project on the edge of the Bwaise slum in Kampala.  His team made this fantastic video below for us last year.  Meddy has just won a Social Entrepreneurship competition In Uganda and has been invited to spend a week at an exchange programme event at Oxford University in May! The competition is run by Universities Together  Empowering Development (UniTED) and recognizes the quality of development work undertaken. The winners will be collaborating with Oxford university students on their social enterprises.

On what he hopes to achieve out of the exchange: “During my stay, I will be meeting with potential partners to widen the synergies AFFCAD UK and AFFCAD Uganda.”

A well-deserved accolade and one we are sure Meddy will make the most of!

Check out our YouTube channel so see more from his visit.
