Adrian Hatch Joins Workaid As CEO
The trustees are delighted to announce that Adrian Hatch has joined Workaid as CEO. Adrian has had a fascinating career in the charitable sector and until last month was CEO of Safe Child Thailand (SCT).
One of the many attractions for him about the role at Workaid was the opportunity to reconnect with Africa and build on his extensive experience there.
He had spent ten years as CEO of the International Refugee Trust. Earlier in his career, he worked for six years at Build Africa, which was focused on developing projects that improved the education and career prospects for young people in Uganda and Kenya.
Adrian Hatch said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of Workaid and helping to build on the wonderful work that it does. The meetings I held with volunteers, trustees and staff when I visited Chesham in July really inspired me and I can’t wait to start!”
After settling in at The Old Boot Factory in Chesham Adrian will be making a visit to Zambia and Uganda in May. During the trip he’ll meet with our partners, visit projects supported by Workaid and get a feel for the needs and opportunities to develop our work.
Rob Levine, who became General Manager in October 2016, will continue at Workaid in the new position of Fundraising Director. Rob’s already making excellent progress with his new challenges.
We are all delighted to be working with both Adrian and Rob in their new roles and we wish them every success in the future.
