It’s Christmas at Workaid!

On Friday, we hosted our annual ‘Carols at Workaid’ event. A wonderful time was had by all who attended, enjoying mulled wine, and being serenaded by Chesham Grammar School and Rev Simon Cansdale. The Voice of The Show, who have nominated Workaid as their chosen charity, kicks off their Christmas show “The Adventures of Pinocchio” today (18th of December), running until the 30th at The Little Theatre By The Park in Chesham.
Rob Levine, our general manager, has shared some warm words to ring in the festive season:

‘The pending excitement of Christmas often makes me think about how lucky I am.  Happy healthy family, fun and fulfilling work, home in the lovely Chilterns… so much to be grateful for!  Workaid is a big part of that – donors who give freely to us of their unwanted items and their money, a wonderful team of volunteers and others who give so freely of their time to help people they will never meet, and perhaps most of all the beneficiaries who are so warmly grateful for their work with us.  Enjoy the holiday season, and spare a thought for them as you do!’

We wish all our volunteers, donors and beneficiaries a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Please note Workaid’s Christmas closure times:

Friday 22nd of December 2017 at 4:30pm –  Wednesday 3rd of January 2018 at 9:30am.
