Along with the Vwila Foundation, we have worked with the Tasintha Programme in Zambia for over five years.
As part of our partnership with the Vwila Foundation, we have helped rural secondary schools in the Mumbwa district of Zambia provide much-needed vocational training for their students.
Container Peter 1996, named after Penny (a volunteer) has left for Zambia filled with over 800 boxes of tools and kits.
In tribute to his wonderful wife of 27 years, who recently passed away, Norman has named our next container Joyce.
Deborah’s father passed away when she was a baby, as did her mother a few years later. She was raised by her aunty who she refers to as her mother.
Roy is a Zimbabwean national who operates a small sewing machine repair shop in Lusaka, Zambia with two other technicians.
David graduated from Bulungu secondary school in late 2022. The school is one of 35 we have helped in Zambia over the past three years in partnership with the Vwila Foundation.
Bertha and Winnie are two of the teachers who took part in intensive sewing machine repair and maintenance training funded by Workaid in Kabwe, Zambia in 2024.
