Raymond, Victims of War

Raymond is a current trainee at Vision and War Victims Association in Kasese. He started training in September 2020 in carpentry, Workaid had provided a comprehensive set of carpentry tools. However, because of COVID he was unable to finish his training but has now resumed. Raymond was a school dropout and at the time he started his training he was taken on as the Association was specifically looking for school drop outs.  Raymond is really enjoying the training and when he finally completes his course he wants initially to work for someone else to gain experience. He wants then to save up and set up a workshop in his village. He will specialise in making beds and tables. Raymond is excited about the future and what he can achieve. He has a passion to help other young people who have dropped out of school, to give them the same opportunity as he was given.
